“Each customer is given VIP treatment at China Buffet,” says owner Wen Zheng. And this is only one of the many reasons why locals return, again and again, to dine in the 5,000 square foot buffet restaurant in Mccomb, Mississippi. The slew of regular customers is also attracted to the wide variety of Asian dishes available—there are over 150 options in the buffet at any given time—and the meticulously beautiful and lush décor throughout the interior and exterior of the restaurant. It is obvious that Mr. Zheng knows what he is doing when it comes to running a restaurant and keeping customers happy.

 

When customers first step through the impressive glass gate, they are immediately met by intricately carved rockery adorned with an array of vegetation. And just to the side is a large aquarium, holding several exotic fish, adding serenity. As customers continue into the dining area, beautiful Chinese-style decorations come into view. Some of the Chinese art displayed are Wu Dang Mountain, the Splendid Shanghai Night View, and the Grand Temple of Heaven among other pieces of art portraying Chinese landscapes and culture.

 

The kitchen at China Buffet prepares various exotic cuisines such as Szechuan, Cantonese, and Dim Sum. The dishes can generally be characterized as spicy or sweet, which the locals love, and the dishes are updated often to keep the regular customers’ interest. Mr. Zheng’s goal is to keep the experience and the food fresh in the diners’ minds.
